Welcome to

Sno-Burners Ski & Sports Association

Intensifying the Sport Among African Americans

The Sno-Burners Ski Club was formed as a direct result of the first Brotherhood gathering in 1973.

Four Sno-Burners were present in Aspen for that inspirational event. From a core of four travelers, the Sno-Burners organization have grown to more than 300 active members to date and is one of the founding clubs of the National Brotherhood of Skiers, Inc. The Sno-Burners Ski & Sports Association club traditionally rate ourselves highest when it comes to providing cold trails and downhill races to its members. But not many can boast quality trip accommodations and an ever expanding activities calendar. We have traveled to every National Brotherhood Summit and Annual Meeting Challenge Cup (a.k.a. Mini Summit) since 1973.

The Sno-Burners Ski Club has coordinated ski trips to Europe, Canada and Japan. Our organization has visited nearly most of the major ski resorts in the U.S. In December, we offer an annual Early Season Warm Up, a week-long season opener at one of the major ski instruction resorts. Also, inclusive are one day trips to Mount Snow and weekend ski trips to the slopes in the Tri-State area. In addition, for our skiers and non-skiers, we have expanded off-season activities offering white water rafting, cycling, family day barbecue, golf outings, trips to Austria, Switzerland, China, Egypt, Italy, Amsterdam, the British Isles, Australia, Spain, Portugal and Morocco.  And let's not forget SummerFest trips to "Hot Fun" in Miami, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Cabo San Luca, Mexico and cruising the Caribbean, along with other assorted activities requested by our membership.

Our Goal

Sno-Burners Ski & Sports Association goal is to develop ski programs for youth, new and exciting members to provide economical fun packages for snow sports enthusiasts, while maintaining relationships with fellow skiers nationwide. The local clubs aim to promote activities with other clubs through outdoor sports, social media events, networking. and websites during the off/ski season.

We invite you to be a part of & enjoy the “Sno-Burners experience!”
